Licenses

Licenses

Counties have changed how they do licenses and most are by appointment. For each county – one of you must live in the county you are applying but you can get married anywhere in Michigan once you get the license. If you are both from out of state, you must apply in the county you are getting married in. There is a 2 day waiting period but you may be able to pay a fee for that to be waived. The license is good for 31 days from the day you receive it.

See below on how to get licenses. County weddings are much harder to schedule, but we have you covered!
